Heike Bilsheim

I fell in love with Old English Sheepdogs as a young child, but it was not until 20 years later that I was able to own this wonderful breed. Our first Old English was born in 1984. As we started showing, our four-legged family grew. Today my husband and I share our home in Germany with 8 Old English Sheepdogs. Our daughter Sophia is also involved in the dogs and enjoys showing. Over 35 years ago our kennel was registered under the prefix „aus dem Rotmaintal“. We have bred over 50 litters up to date and finished several champions over the years. All our breeding stock mainly goes back to North American bloodlines. In our breeding program health has always played an important role. Our breeding stock is hip-, elbow-, EIC-, MDR-1, CA, DM and PCD-tested. All our litters are eye- and baer-tested before the puppies leave for their new homes.
I have served on the committee of the German „Club für Britische Huetehunde“ many years in various positions and also organized several shows and specialties. I was licensed to judge Old English and Welsh Corgis in 2005. Collies, Bearded Collies, Border Collies and Shelties followed. Besides my home country I have judged in Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, England, Finland, France, Italy, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, Switzerland, Australia and the United States of America.

Sophia Bilsheim

I was born into an OES family. My parents got their first OES in 1984 and therefore I grew up with this breed.
My mother and I are breeding under the prefix „aus dem Rotmaintal“. I started showing with our Ch. Stoffels Bertram in the Child and Dog class.              

From 2010 till end of 2022 I was the vice breed representative of the British sheepdog club of Germany.                                                                                                                                              Since the Euro OES Show 2022 I am a member of the Euro OES Show Forum.
My hobbies are travelling & hiking with my dog as well as showing our dogs.
